Here we CROW!

Updated: Oct 16, 2023

By now you all know the inspiration behind 2023 Marching Miller Show "The White Crow", but take a minute and reflect on how the Marching Millers truly embody the spirit of the show.

Just a little over five years ago Noblesville was competing on the track circuit (at a high level) and made the leap to field show competition....in one of the toughest classes in the country. The Millers did not rest in 2020 and used the abbreviated season to continue improving their skills. In 2021, the Marching Millers catapulted to state finals for the first time in program history! We were the "white crow", the "curiosity in the flock" and took many by surprise. Last year the Marching Millers competed in two BOA contests and were finalists in Ohio. This year's regional score was the highest in the program's history with two distinction awards. No matter the outcome of this busy week, the Marching Millers continue to embody the spirit of "The White Crow."

Rudolf Nureyev said, ..."I will keep dancing till the last moment, the last drop." Let's show out and support our Marching Millers so they can keep playing until the last moment, the last drop.

Yes.

https://www.ticketmaster.com/bands-of-america-super-regional-friday-indianapolis-indiana-10-20-2023/event/05005EEDA11459B1

Can I bring cash?

Lucas Oil is cashless. This includes the box office and concessions. Please plan accordingly to ensure a successful day.

What is the bag policy?

  • Bands of America encourages spectators not to bring bags into venues. Only clear bags and emergency bags will be permitted.

  • Bag policies are effective to expedite entry into venues and provide additional safety.

  • Spectators will be allowed to bring items such as cameras, provided they are not in cases that would violate the bag policy at that venue.

How are finalists determined?

Two (2) separate judging panels will be utilized for prelims (see BOA Adjudication Handbook 8.01). The five (5) highest scoring bands from each panel will advance to finals, as well as the remaining four (4) highest bands, regardless of panel.

What are my parking options?

  • A limited amount of spectator parking is available in Lot A North of the Stadium and the South Lot of Lucas Oil Stadium. The cost for each of these lots is $20 per vehicle with NO in/out privileges.

  • Accessible parking spaces are in the South lot of the Stadium via the Missouri Street Gate 3 parking lot entrance. The cost for this lot is $20.00 per vehicle with NO in/out privileges. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • A drop-off/pick-up location is available along Capitol Ave. outside of the Colts Team Store.

  • Additional spaces surround the stadium in various lots and parking garages. A map of parking and prices for area lots is available online at http://www.indydt.com/parking.com •

  • Plan to arrive early to allow plenty of time to park, buy tickets and enter the Stadium. Encourage parents, boosters and fans to do the same. Lucas Oil Stadium is a large, urban-based professional facility.

Can I take videos/pictures?

Still cameras (digital or film, professional or otherwise) are allowed in the stadium and may be used from stadium seating, but not on the field. Remember – and please share with your fellow parents and boosters that video recording of performances is not allowed at Bands of America events.

Is there a livestream?

All 2023 Bands of America Championships will be livestreamed on BOALIVE.TV, powered by BOX5 Media. Viewers can choose pay-per-view to watch one event or a subscription for the best value to watch the entire BOA season. Please share this opportunity with your band boosters, students, and community so that those who cannot be there in person can enjoy performances from wherever they are.

Awards and Patches

Many people have been asking about patches and awards. All of the information about how/when a student earns awards is on the band website awards page. At the bottom of the awards page are two helpful links: buy a lost patch/pin and inquire about a patch that was never received. Kristen Durst or Sarah Scholl will reach out regarding any ordered or overlooked awards.

$$$ Marching Band Fee Information From Your Friendly Neighborhood Band Treasurer

Marching Band fees are NOW OVERDUE!!!

A list of families whose invoice is carrying a balance past October 1st will be sent over to our Accounts Receivable department for collection purposes. Trust me, if you’re not a fan of email notices or certified letters, you do not want to be on this list!

PLEASE NOTE: Students traveling to Ireland will not be eligible for financial assistance from the boosters for the 2023-2024 school year.
