This weekend our marching band has the opportunity to perform in a national level contest, the Bands of America Indianapolis Super Regional at Lucas Oil Stadium! Remember (for those Contest 101 graduates) this is completely separate from our state ISSMA Contest (we will get back to that next weekend).
84 bands will come together from all over the midwest (and beyond) to perform on this grand stage!! 14 bands will be named super regional finalists! Finalist bands will not be announced until the awards ceremony at 3:45pm Saturday! Yes, this makes planning challenging. We are prepared for either scenario (performing in finals or watching finals). Parents, be flexible and ready to adjust your schedule... and BELIEVE! If you can dream it, you can do it. #Believe #AMillionDreams

Performance Time:
Prelims: Friday 2:30pm *Bring your Pom Poms!!!!
Finals: IF qualified - Saturday evening TBD (Likely between 7pm - 8:30pm IF qualified)
Finalist bands will be announced Saturday at 3:45pm.
If not qualified, band will travel to Lucas Oil to watch finals!

Spectator Parking: Limited spectator parking available on the southeast corner of Lucas Oil Stadium for $25.

Food Plan:
Friday: Students will need to bring food for early lunch on Friday. They will eat before boarding busses to Lucas Oil! You may bring extra snacks!
Saturday:
Students will need to pack dinner. IF they do not qualify for finals, they will eat dinner at NHS before going down to Lucas Oil to watch finals. IF they do qualify for finals, they will jump on busses and will need concession money for Lucas Oil (cashless venue). Please be flexible and prepared for either scenario.
Volunteers: Due to very limited field passes for BOA, all bus chaperone spots are being filled by prop helpers. We will not have a Sign Up Genius for BOA.

Breakfast of Champions at NHS: Provided by the boosters! Time/details next week!
Tickets: Online Ticket Sales. We highly recommend purchasing tickets online presale to cut down on lines. We will have credit card sales and only one cash box available on site.
Directions/Parking: All spectators will enter campus off of 10th street. Spectators should exit I-465 from Exit 14, 10th Street.
Bag Policy: Ben Davis HS has adopted a new bag policy for events. No duffle bags, sports bags, large purses, backpacks, coolers, drawstring bags, large diaper bags. Small purses/wallets no larger than 8”x11” will be allowed. Clear plastic/vinyl bags that are no larger than 12”x12” are allowed.
