Thank YOU to all of my fellow band parents who volunteered to help with the IPA contest at NHS this past weekend. Proceeds from all of our events (Black & Gold Marching, Solo & Ensemble, IPA, etc...) go to support ALL of our programs!

I am THRILLED to announce that Noblesville High School Jazz 1 is one of the 15 Finalists for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Festival.
This is Jazz 1's second year in a row! Bands are selected from the United States and Canada.
Look for upcoming ways you can support their journey to New York City for the festival in May!
Bethany Robinson is a Grammy Music Educator of the Year Finalist in 2022!
Winter Guard

Congratulations to our Winter Color Guard on their second place finish this past weekend at the Brownsburg Invitational. This follows a first place finish at their first contest!
Next contest - Saturday Feb 26th: Winter Guard travels to Chicago IL, to compete in the Illinois WGI (Winter Guard International) Regional. 12:34 performance time at Lincoln Way East High School in Frankfort, IL. Tickets are $15 for Prelims, $20 for Finals or $30 for the combo ticket.

What an amazing start to the "Now We Are Free" NIPE season! The "warriors" finished
first at Franklin Central and were less than a point from first at the Noblesville Invitational. There is a short competition break this weekend before they head out to the WGI regional show next weekend (see notes below). Can't wait to see our fans at the next show! Thank you to everyone that helped out at the Noblesville Invitational; we couldn't do it without you!
Parent Reminders:
Show Shirts are available for pick-up in the band room.
Becky is looking for "crafty" help in the band room on Tuesday, March 1 at 6pm to help with helmets.
March 2nd is a 6-9pm rehearsal
March 5th/6th WGI Regional Competition could potentially include Sunday morning. See Mr. Mast's email with more details.

All Band NYC Trip Update
From Noblesville Schools: NO COVID testing is required prior to departure! This is new info from Noblesville Schools. Yay!
From Music Travel: Trip cost is set in stone 30 days prior to departure (based on student/chaperone room sign ups - that were sent out last week). Final payment info will be sent out at that time and payment is due 21 days prior to departure. There will be a departure briefing "meeting" March 22nd (I do not have time yet).
Look for more info on final cost and final payment coming from Music Travel soon!

A 40 student pep band will travel to Gainbridge Fieldhouse Saturday Feb 26th for the IHSAA Girls State Basketball Championship! Students were sent a link to sign up. Best of luck to the girls & Go Millers!
