Noblesville Band is on Fire! 🔥

I read a quote this week from a band director in South Carolina that really stuck with me... "What gets celebrated, gets repeated"! I've really enjoyed writing these weekly updates as it has opened my eyes to ALL of the outstanding accomplishments by our students!

Highlights of the week (in case your attention span is only 30 seconds):

  • NIPE (Indoor Percussion) - WGI Indianapolis Regional - First Place!

  • Winter Guard - Zionsville Contest 1st Place in Round & 3rd Overall

  • ISSMA Jazz 1 - Gold with Distinction & State Qualifier

  • ISSMA Jazz 2 - Gold

  • Ball State Jazz Festival Jazz 1 - 1st Place, Pruis Hall

  • Winter Showcase - March 23rd, 6:30pm Noblesville East Middle School (NHS gym construction). Come and see NIPE, Winter Guard & Pep Band perform! Free admission. Donations welcome at the door!

  • Concert Band - NYC Trip March 25th! Details below

  • "Like" the Noblesville High School Bands public page on Facebook and share our celebrations!

Concert Band

Under the Direction of Eric Thornbury & Jacob Crossley

NYC ALL Band Trip - March 25th

  • Final send off meeting March 22nd 6:30pm

  • Students will wear ALL black for concert performance. Casual black is fine as they will be touring NYC and not going back to the hotel during the day. No tuxes and dresses. Black tennis shoes are OK!

  • Attire (per Music Travel) for Broadway show day: "Broadway, and I feel society in general, is a little more casual than we were two years ago because of all that’s happened - so I wouldn’t even say polos, collars, dresses, or shirts. Just smart casual would suffice."

  • Load busses Friday March 25th at 2:30pm. Leave NHS at 3pm.

  • Students/chaperones may carry a string backpack during the day that may be left on the bus with change of clothes/shoes.

  • Check email for bus lists, group sign ups and medication information. Please email Mr Crossley if you have not received this info or have questions..

Check your email and calendar (also on Canvas - ask your student) for upcoming after school rehearsals! Prep for ISSMA Contest is in full swing!
