Marching Band
Under the Direction of Eric Thornbury & Jacob Crossley
Volunteer:
Parents, please don't forget that every marching family has a 15 hour volunteer obligation OR $300 opt out fee. I like to think of it as a gift of 15 hours with my teen (and I'm sure he thinks the same 🙄). It gives us common ground and dinner table topics! It's a great way to make friends AND give back to the band! You can find ALL of our sign up opportunities on our volunteer page, but here are a few direct links & ways we need your help NOW!
Football Game 9/9:
Game time 7pm vs Westfield
This Friday is Mass Band Night! (Yes, our kids were just middle schoolers yesterday). The Marching Millers will troop to the stadium, play for pregame and then join the middle school kids at East Middle School during the first half of the game. They will be in the stands for the second half.
Band Meal: The students will have Taco Bar! We will have a taco/nacho bar set up with a variety of options for students to choose from before the game. Ingredient labels will be available to read for any students that want to check ingredients. Please don’t hesitate to email foodcoordinator@noblesvilleband.org with any questions! Thanks! Jen Melton 317-363-3798
Parent Tailgate: Please join us in Tailgate Town - lot south of stadium (see Kelly's RSVP request on the band app) starting at 5:30pm! You DON'T want to miss the BEST tailgate in town! Look for the Noblesville Band tents! If you would like to bring a dessert, that would be appreciated! Dinner & drinks provided!
Transportation Fee:
PLEASE TURN IN TRANSPORTATION FORM AND PAY FEE!!! Transportation form is on Marching page and here is a direct link to the form! This form is also available in the band room. Still missing 46!! So closeish.

Lawrence Contest:
Saturday September 10th
Noblesville performs at 7pm. Awards at 7:45pm
Spectator Parking:
*NOTE give yourself plenty of travel/parking time! We've heard there is A LOT of construction in the area
Spectator parking will be located in the Belzer Middle School parking lot directly across 56th Street from the high school stadium. Additional parking will be available at Harrison Hill Elementary School just south of Belzer on Richardt Street and at the Soccer Fields just north of LC on Caito Drive. Handicapped accessible shuttles will be available from these remote lots all day. Please warn your fans not to park in the Business parking lot located on Caito and 56th Street or along Caito Drive. They will tow illegally parked cars at the owner's expense. Warnings to this extent are well posted, but, for some reason, unwitting band supporters manage to get their cars towed each year. Please help us put a stop to this unfortunate tradition
Admission:
$10 adult, $5 student, $5 senior available at the gate. No pre sale. *We were not given any additional info regarding cash/credit. I would bring cash!
Here is the full contest schedule for Saturday (photo below)!
You can find ALL contest info (as it is available) on our marching page.
BOA Ohio:
Saturday September 17th
Columbus, OH (Fortress Obetz is the name of the stadium)
Noblesville performs in prelims at NOON.
Finalist bands announced at 4:30pm
IF we make finals, we will perform between 7:30pm - 10:15pm.
More details on the timeline of this day will be coming from Mr. Thornbury VERY soon (Turn on Notifications on your Band App!). We will be traveling to a host school between performances for students to rest. It will be a long day, but this is where memories and lifelong friends are made!
At this time we do NOT believe we will have sign ups for chaperones for this trip.. Due to restrictions on the number of credentials for BOA, all chaperones will come from our prop crew (pulling double duty)!
Homecoming Parade:
Friday Sept 23rd
The band will march in the parade, eat dinner at NHS and then prep for game! Yes, it's a long day! #Memories
The parade route is the same as it was for the 4th of July.
Look for the Homecoming Parade Sign-Up Genius to go live soon!
Another need we will have is CANDY. This is strictly voluntary and by no means required, but donations of non-melting (no chocolate) candy would be so appreciated! We actually ran out of candy well before the end of the parade route in July after purchasing what we thought would be enough! We are hoping donations will help make up the shortfall this time around!
There will be a collection bin at Contest 101 at the Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 8 and in the band room by the closet doors (gate 30). Please make sure you fasten the lid of the bin after you donate.
Thanks so much for your willingness to help out! 🖤💛
Michelle Neal, Parade Coordinator

Raffle Fundraiser:
Calling all band parents! We need your help selling raffle tickets to friends and family!
The raffle pot is currently $13.055 and growing! Last year’s winner took home half the pot which was $14,505, and the band boosters got the same amount! We need as much parent help as possible in order to meet our goal of reaching a much bigger pot this year! This years drawing will be on fb live on 10/5/2022. You do not need to be present to win. We appreciate all your help selling, and spreading the word about our ongoing ticket recall.
Ticket prices:
1 ticket- $5
5 tickets- $20
15 tickets- $50
30 tickets- $100
There are 2 ways parents can help by selling tickets to friends, coworkers and family:
1. Purchase tickets for them. You can use the raffle ticket tracking form to take ticket requests (not required , just a helpful tool). This form can be found found at: https://www.noblesvilleband.org/_files/ugd/af2252_5ad1dbf054ea4faaa105a68dd5d3a090.pdf
2. We will also have ticket bundles available that you can "check out" and go sell. Then you can return any unused tickets and money collected to the raffle committee. These bundles will have instructions included with them.
Thursday Sept 8th - The raffle committee will have tickets available at Contest 101, in the stadium for final run through AND in the north parking lot at 9pm pick up time! Next week, Sept 15th, we will be back to our regular Thursday 8pm - 9pm north parking lot!
Look for our raffle flag!
*Additional information will be given during pickup
