HOCO 22

What a weekend! I'm still recovering and feel I might be a little too old for a 23 hour day, BUT it was all worth it! The FIRST ever out of state contests and the FIRST ever Noblesville Marching Band to make BOA Finals! The kids really had a taste of success and how good it feels to have your name called. Hard work pays off! Parents who helped... THANK YOU! It gave our kids the opportunity to perform twice in one day AND put their best show of the season on the field - that's why we do what we do! The reward is only going to get bigger.... keep encouraging the kids with positive words at home!!

HOCO is this week and the raffle booth will be at the parade and game! Come get your tickets and say hi!

The Noblesville Band Boosters 50/50 Raffle pot is currently $18,015.00 and growing! Last year’s winner took home half the pot which was $14,505, and the band boosters got the same amount to do amazing things for all the NHS bands! This year's drawing will be on fb live on 10/5/2022. You do not need to be present to win.

Ticket prices:

1 ticket- $5

5 tickets- $20

15 tickets- $50

30 tickets- $100

The raffle committee booth will be set up in the NHS north parking lot for ticket bundle pickup and drop off and for purchasing raffle tickets every Thursday from 8:00-9:00 pm. Look for our raffle flag!

Mr. Thornbury said the Lakota West directors gave props to our parents for doing a GREAT job keeping videos of our show off the internet! They were doing some "scouting" trying to learn about us before BOA and couldn't find ANY videos! WAY TO GO! #NoVideosOnSocialMedia

 

Homecoming 22:

Please see email from Mr. Thornbury with full band schedule for Friday!

Parade: Starting at 4pm and following the same route as July 4th! Band will be in FULL dress uniform! Thank you Mother Nature for the 60 degree day!!

Band Dinner: We will have pizza from Marco's and salads available Friday evening for the students before the game. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our food coordinator (Jen Melton 317-363-3798, Foodcoordinator@noblesvilleband.org) with questions or concerns!

Band Parent Tailgate: This weeks menu is Jambalaya! Food will be cooked ahead of time and ready to serve shortly after 5pm! Join us in Tailgate Town (opens at 5 this week).

Game: Kick off is 7:30 this week (1/2 hour later than normal due to homecoming parade). Tickets are cash at the gate or GoFan app!

Hello from the food coordinator! I want to extend a sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of the parents that helped make sure the band was fed and hydrated this weekend. Thank you to the parents who contributed to the breakfast bags, came in a 5:00 AM to make sure they got handed out, cleaned up after the group left/when the group returned, and the chaperones that helped hand out snacks/dinner, fill water cups, move water jugs (again and again and again), and were available for any help needed. It was an amazing effort by all involved! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

 

Uniform Pillow & Tote Fundraiser:

For those who ordered uniform pillows and totes, we have received the first shipment! IF

you received an email that your order is ready for pick up... please come and grab your order during the following pick up times:

Thursday Sept 22nd & 29th: 8pm - 9pm

We are waiting to hear when the next shipment will arrive, but shouldn't be too long! We have cut off new orders until we have more info about future availability dates. We will have more available in the near future!

 

Black & Gold Invitational:

This is a HUGE fundraiser for our program and requires an "All Hands On Deck" mentality! PLEASE help us welcome our guests to Noblesville! We have 12 bands that will be coming from all over the state of Indiana!


Volunteer: Each marching family is required to volunteer 3 hours this day! It can be mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, neighbor or friend! Sign ups are LIVE! Grab a shift!

Schedule: Full schedule will be posted soon, but the Marching Millers will perform in exhibition at 9:00pm. We realize many will not be able to see this performance due to volunteer shifts. I realize we all want to watch, but please be flexible and willing to miss this 1 performance in order to help make this day a success!

 

Center Grove Cavalcade of Champions - Oct 8th:

Schedule and additional info will be shared as soon as it is available. This is our last "hosted contest" before heading into our ISSMA State Contest!

 

Marching Band fees are DUE Oct. 1st

REMINDER! Funds raised from fundraiser sales and/or credits from overpayments are not automatically applied towards invoices.


We are aware that PayPal has update their policy and are charging fees for all transactions to our account as we are set up as a business. We are working on correcting this. Continue to utilize PayPal if that is your preferred method of payment.

Check, cash and Venmo are also accepted.

Upcoming concert date: October 4, 2022.

The concert is divided into two presentations:

  • Blocks 1, 4, 6 - Concert 6:00pm. Students arrive at 5:30pm. On stage pictures starting at 5:40pm.

  • Blocks 3, 2, and University of Indpls. - Concert at 7:30pm. Students arrive at 7:00pm. On stage pictures at 7:10pm
