Uniform Committee

About the Role

Our Uniform Coordinator, Dawn Bailey, is seeking committee members to assist her during the 23-24 season!


  • Oversee fitting and assigning students with uniforms and shako hats.

  • Ordering marching shoes, compression shirts, gloves and any other items needed. 

  • Arrive before football games and performances to assist with uniforms and any last-minute needs.  One volunteer will stay with the band throughout game or performance doubling as a chaperone.

  • Prepare uniform carts and pack a tote with extra items that may be needed to take to a performance. (For example, extra shoes, socks, gloves, sewing kit, etc.)

  • Coordinate with the student uniform crew to train students how to hang and properly care for uniforms.

  • Coordinate volunteer needs to volunteer coordinator to create sign up genius for any help needed.

  • Help organize uniform items for storage in closet.

  • Coordinate with photography chair for picture day.  Will need to set up a time and get a list of students, and a schedule to them.

  • Arrange for dry cleaning of uniforms at the end of the season.  Wash any machine washable items as needed throughout and after the season.

Being present for football games & contests is helpful, but not required for all games/contests!

This is a great role for a new band parent or experienced band parent!
